North Tonawanda's Common Council Meeting began with the "State of the City" address by Mayor Arthur Pappas. The subjects of focus for the address included development, jobs, highway and water projects, as well as the bail and discovery/speedy trial reform laws enacted at the beginning of the year by the state.

It was last fall when multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and touring artist Matt Maher debuted "Alive & Breathing Vol. 1," his three-song project that became the first of four music bundles and released consecutively through the fall and winter. Today, Maher announces all four of the volumes will be made into one album, aptly titled "Alive & Breathing," and will also include two additional songs. "Alive & Breathing" will be available on March 6 (Provident Label Group).

Niagara County Emergency Services Director Jonathan Schultz told the Lake Ontario Planning Committee that current Lake Ontario water levels are already higher than at a similar period a year ago. Schultz said the current water level is 246.59 feet, about 9 inches above where they were on this date one year ago.

Niagara Hospice has received a $30,000 grant from the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Benefit Fund in Lockport to advance its dementia care expertise for patients, families and caregivers across Niagara County. The Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) announced Tim Clark, film commissioner for the Buffalo Niagara Film Office, will serve as AFCI's first newly elected board chair since 2016. Clark joined the AFCI board in 2018 and served previously as second vice chair. His new tenure as chair is set for a two-year term that may be renewed in 2022.
