Congressman Brian Higgins announced a federal grant has been awarded to D'Youville College from the Department of Education's Academies for American History and Civics Program in the amount of $1,492,475. The funding will be implemented over a period of three years, starting with $499,022 for the upcoming fiscal year.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the availability of $3 million in state funds to help municipalities purchase zero-emission vehicles and install related infrastructure. The rebates and grants are administered by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and supported by the state's Environmental Protection Fund to advance the governor's nation-leading climate change goals and clean transportation initiatives by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Chris Musial, vice president and general manager of WBBZ-TV, announced America's first family of animated comedy is coming to MeTV. "The Flintstones" premieres Monday, Sept. 30, 59 years to the day from its very first telecast. "The Flintstones" will air on the MeTV affiliate weeknights, with back-to-back episodes starting at 6 p.m. Episodes will also air Sundays at 10, 10:30 and 11 a.m.
