According to a recent AAA Travel survey, two-thirds of leisure travelers (64 percent) plan to take vacations this summer. Many of those vacationers will head to historical European cities or soak up the sun in Orlando's theme parks and attractions, according to an analysis of AAA's travel booking data.

While Lew-Port calculates its anticipated expenditures, it must proceed through budget development without solid numbers from New York on Lew-Port's state aid allocation (revenues).

The National Hockey League will release the NHL Central Scouting Bureau's final rankings for the 2019 NHL Draft at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15. The North Tonawanda Botanical Garden Organization is sponsoring its fourth annual winter cleanup/work day from 9 a.m. until noon, on April 27, at the North Tonawanda Botanical Garden, 1825 Sweeney St.
The public is invited to help with winter cleanup and preparation for planting. On the same day, NTBGO will host a Chiavetta's chicken dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Botanical Garden. Tickets are $12 and all proceeds go towards purchasing plant material and supplies for the Botanical Garden. To purchase tickets in advance, call 692-0237 or email ntbgo@hotmail.com. Remaining tickets will be for sale on April 27.
