With sunshine and warmer temperatures on the horizon, the Lewiston Garden Club is in the midst of planning for Lewiston GardenFest. Set for Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, organizers are now recruiting both vendors and local residents interested in showcasing their own gardens during this year's 14th annual event.

The Niagara History Center's March Family Night theme is "Irish in Niagara County." Guests can celebrate and learn about the accomplishments of Irish residents including boxer Jimmy Duffy; Chauncey Olcott, the composer of "My Irish Rose"; Mary Ellen Powers, "The tallest woman in the world"; Mary Macaulay, the first woman telegrapher; and Frank Gaffney, the second-most-decorated soldier in World War I.

It's been a strong performer in delayed viewing, growing by 119 percent, going from "live plus same day" to L+7 Nielsens in adults 18-49 (from a 0.57 rating to a 1.25) and by 3.4 million persons (3.9 million to 7.3 million).

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority has awarded Calspan Air Services, a subsidiary of Calspan Holdings, the contract to continue operating as the fixed base operator (FBO) for the Niagara Falls International Airport. The Lancers historic season came to a close with an 87-55 loss in the Far West Regionals.
