Morinello attends Albany rally for tipped workers

Republican Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello attended an Albany rally with the Restaurant Workers of American (RWA) and tipped-wage workers from New York state to voice their concerns surrounding the governor's proposal to remove tipped-wages and pay restaurant workers minimum wage.
Lewiston: Smelt Festival moving to Academy Park

Unlike the fish it's named for, which is tiny and landlocked, the Lewiston Smelt Festival is large and needs room to expand. On Tuesday, the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce was granted permission by the Village Board to move the May 3 event from the Lewiston waterfront into Academy Park.

Cuomo announced the "Green New Deal," a nation-leading clean energy and jobs agenda that will "aggressively put New York state on a path to economy-wide carbon neutrality," is included in the 2019 executive budget. The plan provides for a transition to clean energy that "spurs growth of the green economy and prioritizes the needs of low- to moderate-income New Yorkers."
