The 2017-18 Niagara-Wheatfield hockey season can really be summed up in one word - historic. The Falcons finished the season 19-3-3-1, won the program's sixth Section VI title, and reached the team's first-ever state title game. Coming into the 2018-19 season, the team has some holes to fill after losing key scorers such as Nick Peters, Chace Woods, Michael Lotempio, Chris Tobey and Dom Pulli, as well as top defensemen Zack Belter and Nick Breier.

I will be trying and predict which teams will win the home stretch of the season and punch their ticket to playoffs and compete for a chance to raise the Lombardi Trophy in February. Niagara County has been awarded a $6 million grant from The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, Office of Interoperable and Emergency Communications. The award is from the 2018 SICG-targeted program that is being distributed based on an analysis of data related to the implementation of national interoperability channels in New York.
