Mount St. Mary's Hospital has relocated its cardiology services office from the first floor of the main hospital in Lewiston, to new, larger offices in an adjacent medical arts building.

The Niagara River Greenway Commission will meet Tuesday, June 19, to determine the consistency of the 60th round of projects. The meeting will take place at 3 p.m. at Duende Restaurant, 85 Silo City Row, Buffalo. The general meeting will be preceded at 2 p.m. by the business meeting.

The 179th Erie County Fair will see the inauguration of a daily patriotic tradition that will honor veterans and active military members. Beginning Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m. and continuing each evening during the 12-day run of the fair, a flag retreat ceremony will be held at Slade Park. Each ceremony will be presented by Made In America stores.

The New York State Department of Health and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) has approved the certificate of need (CON) request submitted by Mount St. Mary's Hospital for the expansion of its Clearview Treatment Services Program. Clearview is a confidential, inpatient rehabilitation program dedicated to the comprehensive care of people whose lives have been affected by drugs and/or alcohol.

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos announced $4 million in grant funding for generators of excess wholesome food and food scraps to expand their capacity to donate wholesome food or divert it to organics recycling facilities. An estimated 40 percent of the food produced in the U.S. goes uneaten while about 2.5 million New Yorkers are food insecure.

Old Fort Niagara is about to host its largest annual re-enactment, the French and Indian War Encampment, which visitors, re-enactors and staff alike anticipate with excitement - and much planning - each year. The three-day event will occur Friday through Sunday, June 29 to July 1, and will be packed with French, British and Native re-enactors from the U.S. and Canada, living-history camps and exhibits, large-scale battle re-enactments, hands-on activities, special tours and demonstrations, and food and historical goods for sale.
