The Niagara County Builders Association is set to reveal a new name, a new direction and a new perspective on the construction industry in Niagara on March 14 at G-Mac's in Sanborn. The association has been in Niagara County since 1943 as a chapter of the National Association of Home Builders. The organization will still be a chapter of NAHB under the new name Niagara Region Construction Alliance.

The Buffalo Sabres Green Team on Friday announced the team will hold a hockey equipment drive at KeyBank Center starting Monday, March 19, when the Sabres take on the Nashville Predators. The drive will run until Friday, March 23. All equipment donated will benefit Hasek's Heroes.

Tuesday night a couple thousand people gathered at the Niagara-Wheatfield gym for a basketball game between the Niagara-Wheatfield faculty and the Buffalo Sabres Alumni. The evening was more than a fun pickup game, though, as proceeds from the game benefitted the Bald for Bucks association in honor of the late James Campbell, who passed away in August due to cancer.
