She may be just 13 years old, but Beau's astonishing voice is already insured for £1 million pounds. It's been insured by Lloyd's of London to ensure her unique voice is protected, especially while she's still at school.

Bald eagles are thriving in historic numbers across New York and the State Department of Environmental Conservation reports the highest number of nesting pairs, a record-breaking estimated 323 breeding pairs, since the agency undertook a restoration effort in 1976, DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos announced today.

On June 10, the Kiwanis Club of Lewiston held its annual youth fishing derby at the Niagara River Anglers Association Fishing Preserve on Balmer Road in Youngstown. The event was open to children from the townships of Lewiston and Porter. This year, 73 children participated and more than 200 people were in attendance.

Christian Young, a sophomore at Niagara County Community College, was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the recent Major League Baseball Draft. Young was selected with the 617th overall pick, in the 21st round. Young, of Hamburg, is a graduate of Frontier High School.
