Rock fans across North America can look forward to Lifehouse & Switchfoot together for the first time on the "Looking for Summer" Tour, delivering 30-plus shows to venues across the U.S. and Canada. The tour kicks off July 23 at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, and will run into the fall, culminating at The Masonic in San Francisco on Sept. 10.
Steven Curtis Chapman performs at White House during National Day of Prayer ceremony

On Thursday, five-time Grammy-winning artist and songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman had the honor to perform at the 66th annual National Day of Prayer ceremony in Washington, D.C. Appearing before many faith leaders from around the U.S., Chapman performed two songs, "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and "The Lord's Prayer." The ceremony was held in the Rose Garden at the White House.
Rain can't stop Lewiston Smelt Festival

As the rain flowed Friday in the Village of Lewiston, crowds of people flooded into the tented area of the Smelt Festival. A light shower couldn't deter visitors from coming up to the waterfront and supporting the Niagara River Anglers Association. Under cover, they were quickly able to catch free (paper) boatloads of the tiny, fried fish, and listen to the sounds of 90 West.

Higgins announces House approval of bipartisan budget agreement

Congressman Brian Higgins, D-NY-26, and a majority of members in the House of Representatives approved the fiscal year 2017 Omnibus Appropriations Act by a vote of 309-118. The bill appropriates $1.070 trillion to fund federal programs through Sept. 30.
