The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is now $2.31 per gallon, down 3 cents from last week, but up 47 cents from one year ago. The New York state average is $2.52 per gallon, down 2 cents from last week. A year ago, the state average was $2.11.

The Niagara Falls High School Wolverines survived a comeback from the North Tonawanda High School Lumberjacks, in front of a loud crowd at the "Wolvearena" on Friday. The 52-50 win gives the Wolverines a season-split, as the Jacks won the first outing by a 42-37 score.
