Kelly's Country Store held its first-ever Fall Fest Oct. 8 and 9. The event included a petting zoo (pictured), a bounce house, face painting, and a food vendors and a farmers market. The old historic schoolhouse was open, with all original equipment.

The Village of Lewiston Board of Trustees is not ready to vote on the Ellicott Development plaza proposal, and probably will take additional time to review the project's State Environmental Quality Review application. As such, the public hearing originally eyed for this Monday's monthly meeting is postponed.

Sales of organic farm products rose 56 percent statewide from 2008-14 with $164 million in sales that year, as New York ranked third nationwide in the number of certified organic farms, according to a report released by Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. In 2015, New York's organic sales rose another 35 percent.
