More about the Niagara Post Theater: The Niagara Post Theater is one of the last surviving structures from Fort Niagara’s early 20th-century era – a building that once served as a place of recreation, morale and connection for the service members and families who lived and worked there. Within its walls, generations gathered for films, performances and shared moments of community life.
Today, this historic theater stands ready for a new chapter – one that preserves its legacy while transforming it into a living center for creativity, education and cultural exchange.
Nonprofit Niagara Post Theater Inc. is leading the effort to restore and renovate the building and return it to active use as a regional arts and education hub. Once restored, the theater will host a diverse range of programming: children’s theater, arts education workshops, live performances, film screenings and musical events. These offerings will nurture local and regional talent, engage youth and families, and attract visitors stimulating both cultural vitality and economic activity within the community.
