The Buffalo Irish Genealogical Society will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Heritage Discovery Center, 100 Lee St., Buffalo. “Griffith's Valuation & Gathering of the Clans,” a brief presentation by Donna M. Shine, will explain what the Griffith’s valuation in Ireland is and how it can be used for genealogy.
Where and how to search within the site will be demonstrated. Topics will touch upon date ranges, data recorded, corresponding land maps, revision books, and how household and/or plot numbers may have been changed through the years since the collection of original data for the Griffith’s valuation.
Members are invited to bring displays of their families research to share with others.
