Wheels for Workers press release & photo
Wheels for Workers has delivered its first donation of bicycles, safety helmets, and locks to Heart, Love & Soul. This partnership equips local individuals with the reliable, cost-effective transportation necessary to access essential community resources.
Getting to work and community services remains a critical barrier for many individuals striving for economic stability. By supplying bicycles, Wheels for Workers provides a direct, practical solution to this structural gap.
The initial donation was welcomed by the leadership and staff at Heart, Love & Soul, an organization long dedicated to feeding, clothing, and supporting the Niagara Falls community through its food pantry, dining room, and Daybreak social care facility.
“At Heart, Love & Soul, we are fortunate to be part of a Western New York community that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and the importance of creating opportunities for all to thrive,” said Michael Jones, director of communications, advocacy, and external affairs at Heart, Love & Soul. “Wheels for Workers exemplifies this commitment. By providing reliable transportation, they are helping guests maintain their employment, exercise greater independence, and pursue their goals.”
Jones emphasized the broader impact of community-minded organizations working toward shared regional goals.
“We are continually inspired by the organizations across our community that translate their commitment to others into meaningful action,” he said. “From Wheels for Workers to the many dedicated partners who work alongside us in our dining room and Daybreak (our social care facility), these collaborations demonstrate what is possible when organizations unite around a shared commitment to the well-being of our neighbors. We are deeply grateful to Wheels for Workers for their generosity and for recognizing the importance of investing in the people who make up our community.”
Wheels for Workers volunteer John Alduino said, “This delivery marks the first of many donations for Wheels for Workers 716, as the organization strives to remove transit barriers for people across WNY. As a Niagara County resident, I am so pleased to be able to offer this support to such a great organization.”
