Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is preparing to celebrate the new home of Buffalo sports fandom in a spectacular way.

Officials from the region’s premier gaming and entertainment resort destination will be joined by a roster of Buffalo sports heroes to celebrate the grand-opening of 716 SportsWear, the new retail outlet featuring a selection of sports apparel that celebrates Buffalo’s favorite teams, including official merchandise from the Bills, Sabres and Bandits. The grand-opening and ribbon cutting will take place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28

“This is like the excitement leading up to the first game of the season,” said Joanne Israel, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino general manager. “We have been working toward this for over a year, so we want to make the grand-opening an exciting celebration for our guests, our team members, and the sports heroes who will be joining us on Saturday.”

Located on the resort’s west concourse, 716 SportsWear offers a unique and expansive lineup for every fan, with jerseys, hats, activewear, loungewear, and other apparel, such as beaded medallions and earrings, from brands including New Era, 26 Shirts and other trusted favorites, plus new styles.

A trio of Buffalo sports greats are scheduled to join in on the grand-opening celebration. Buffalo Bills linebacker and Western New York native Joe Andreessen will be in attendance to greet fans and pose for photos, along with former Bills safety George Wilson and Buffalo Bandits forward Clay Scanlan.

As a special added highlight, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will give away three jerseys as part of the celebration: a signed Andreessen jersey, a Buffalo Sabres jersey and a Buffalo Bandits jersey. Everyone in attendance will receive one entry into the jersey giveaway. The winners will be announced at 6:30 p.m. at the Social Club by Seneca booth.
