Get ready to raise your glass – and your purse – for a cause that changes lives.
Kids Escaping Drugs (KED) announced the return of its annual “Power of the Purse,” happening from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Resurgence Brewing Co., 55 Chicago Street, Buffalo.
This annual fundraiser combines style, fun and giving in one unforgettable afternoon. Guests will enjoy an elegant brunch buffet featuring eggs, bacon, home fries, bagels, pastries, and fresh fruit – along with mimosas, sangria, and bloody Marys – all included with admission.
The event features designer purse raffles, basket raffles, and complimentary bingo, making it a blend of luxury and laughter. Tickets are $60 per person, and groups can reserve a table for 10 to celebrate together.
Every dollar raised directly supports Kids Escaping Drugs, helping young people and their families across Western New York find hope and healing from substance use. By attending, guests are not only treating themselves to a day of fun, but also fueling KED’s mission to educate, empower and support youth toward a healthier future.
“ ‘Power of the Purse’ is one of our favorite events of the year because it brings together community, compassion, and a little bit of friendly competition – all in support of saving young lives,” said Dana McPhaden, marketing and event director at Kids Escaping Drugs.
