Shea's Performing Arts Center marked a major construction milestone on Monday, as the foundation was laid and the walls began to rise on the Shea's Buffalo Theatre expansion, giving the public its first look at the project taking shape. The transformation comes during Shea's centennial year, as the theater celebrates 100 years as a cornerstone of downtown Buffalo, and looks ahead to the future.

The calf, born to mom Patricia (age 4) and dad Dune (3), is doing incredibly well in mom's care and can be seen by visitors in the Buffalo Zoo's addax habitat most mornings beginning Wednesday, Aug. 5.
