As I run for Town Council, I want to make one thing clear: My vision for the Town of Niagara is rooted in the priorities of you, the residents of this great town. My commitment is to make things better for everyone, whether that’s through fiscal responsibility, improving safety, or ensuring greater access to government.
I believe that gathering information and understanding the concerns of the community is the most important first step in effective local government. That’s why I look forward to meeting with as many residents as possible – hearing your concerns, learning what matters most to you, and making sure your voices are heard and your needs are addressed.
I’m running to ensure that the people of this community are at the center of decision-making, and their concerns are the guiding force behind every decision I make. This vision isn’t limited to the borders of our town, either. It extends to neighboring communities whose issues impact us. For example, many of our neighbors work at the Seneca Niagara Casino, and I am committed to advocating for fair wages and better working conditions for those employees. These hardworking community members rely on their jobs at the casino to support their families, and they deserve a fair shake. That’s why I am working toward giving them access to collective bargaining rights, so they can advocate for themselves and improve their working conditions.
A commitment to independent, fiscally responsible leadership
I’m Vernon Lohan, and I am running for Town Council because I believe our community deserves an independent voice – one that answers to you and not political machines or special interests. As a member of the Grand Island School Board, I’ve fought tirelessly to represent our values, even when that meant standing alone. I’m not influenced by connections or political parties – I answer to the people, and only the people.
Fiscal responsibility is a cornerstone of my platform. We are taxed enough already, and as a fiscal conservative, I understand how important it is to keep taxes low while ensuring our local government operates effectively and efficiently. I will focus on reducing unnecessary spending, making government more accountable, and ensuring we prioritize the needs of Niagara’s residents.
I’m running as an independent candidate because I want to make decisions that are truly in the best interests of our town. My actions and policies will not be influenced by outside pressure or political agendas. Your voice will be heard, and I will always stand up for what’s right for the residents of the Town of Niagara.
Vote Vernon Lohan for Town Council.
Let’s work together to keep the Town of Niagara safe, strong and independent. I ask for your vote and your support in this election. Together, we can build a future that reflects the values and priorities of our community.
Thank you for your support.
