Tops Friendly Markets Press Release & Photo
At Tops Friendly Markets, our mission stands on the platform of addressing the fundamental needs of the community. By partnering with various nonprofit organizations, we can help eradicate hunger and enhance the health and well-being of families and children, which Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center does each and every day.
Tops is thrilled to return as the “Revolution” sponsor for the “Ride for Roswell” for the 11th year, and applauds Roswell as it champions the 30th year of this remarkable event that brings our community together to make a positive impact.
Now, in celebration of the ride’s 30th anniversary, when you purchase a container of Tops premium-churned Orange DreamCycle – a light ice cream back by popular demand – a portion of the proceeds will benefit Roswell Park.
This vanilla ice cream is split with a creamy, light orange ice cream, which is both refreshing and a terrific addition to your family mealtime. Made with no artificial flavors, no partially hydrogenated oils, and no high fructose corn syrup, you can feel great about sharing this delicious treat with your family, all while giving back to Roswell.
“At Tops, we are proud to continue our support of the ‘Ride for Roswell’ – an event that unites our community in hope and action,” said Ron Ferri, president of Tops Friendly Markets. “By offering our Orange DreamCycle ice cream once again, we’re providing families with a delicious way to give back to an important cause. Proceeds from this special product help advance critical cancer research and care at Roswell, a research center we’re so incredibly fortunate to have in our own backyard.”
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center President and CEO Candace S. Johnson, Ph.D., said, “This is a very special year for the ‘Ride for Roswell,’ so it’s just wonderful that Tops – which is such a great partner to us in so many ways – designed this ice cream to honor the ride and its legacy while also supporting our mission. I know I speak for everyone at Roswell Park and at the ride when I express my gratitude for Tops’ continuing relationship with us and for helping ease the cancer journey for our patients while we continue our search for a cure.”
