Special Olympics New York is now accepting team registrations for the final Buffalo Bowl 6-on-6 flag football tournament at Highmark Stadium, taking place June 6-7. Presented by New Era Cap Foundation, this two-day event offers athletes of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to compete on the field where the Buffalo Bills play. Proceeds from the tournament will support year-round programs and services for more than 48,000 Special Olympics New York athletes.
Teams of up to 12 players are invited to register and will be guaranteed at least three games played directly on the stadium’s iconic turf. Divisions are available for a range of experience levels, including amateur, co-ed, first responders (games on June 6), high school, intermediate, middle school and pro.
This will be the final year the Buffalo Bowl will be held at Highmark Stadium, offering participants a unique and memorable experience.
Players of all ages – from middle schoolers to adults – are encouraged to form a team, compete, and make a difference by supporting Special Olympics New York’s year-round programs at no cost to athletes and their families.
Teams can register at www.BuffaloBowl.org. Early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
Special Olympics New York is one of the largest state chapters in the country, serving more than 48,000 athletes across New York with year-round sports training, athletic competition, and health screenings. The organization also partners with more than 340 schools statewide to offer Unified Sports, where students with and without disabilities compete as teammates.
All Special Olympics New York programs are offered at no cost to athletes, their families or caregivers. The organization has earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar.com and a four-star rating from Charity Navigator.
