Grand Island Central School District election results

On May 20, voters in the Grand Island Central School District cast their ballots in favor of approving the 2025-26 budget by the vote of 558 in favor and 387 opposed. The budget for the school district’s new fiscal year is $79,321,145. Proposition 2, which provides for the purchase of vehicles, passed by the vote of 573 in favor and 370 opposed.

Voters also cast their ballots to elect members of the Board of Trustees. Two positions were up for a vote, and there were two candidates for those positions. Jay Grover was reelected with 736 votes, and Beth Crvelin was elected with 734 votes.

The vote was held in the Grand Island High School gymnasium. There was a total of 949 voters.

In addition to the vote, a variety of events were held at the high school, including the districtwide art show; a “Night on Broadway” offered by the Grand Island High School music department; and an elementary track meet.
