Town of Porter Highway crews were busy this week as installations continue for the “Hometown Heroes” banner program – now in its third year. More than 140 banners are in the process of being installed on utility poles throughout the Village of Youngstown and hamlet of Ransomville.
Sponsored by local residents and organizations, the town reports its “Hometown Heroes” banners are on display in the community throughout their entire service life, usually a period of two to four years, or until returned to their individual sponsors.
Applications for the 2025 program are now closed.
