Ed Lilly is running for Town of Lewiston supervisor in the Republican primary, which will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 24.
Lilly has been a businessman for 35 years, he is pro-Second Amendment, and he is a conservative Republican.
Lilly said he will fight the ongoing reassessment.
“The cost to run the town government has nothing to do with the value of your home,” he said. “Value is being used as fake justification for huge tax increases. You are being forced to pay for wasteful pet projects and hiring politically connected friends and family.”
Lilly said he would defend the taxpayers.
“Everyone knows that politicians are not doing right by the taxpayers,” he said. “Politicians are puppets for the politicos that pay for campaigns. I am the only self-funded candidate and do not owe any return favors.”
Lilly said he would work to restore basic services: fix the roads and other public services to benefit all taxpayers; strengthen police and fire departments to protect all citizens; and demand an exemption from New York state to allow gas appliances.
