Edward Lilly and Tamara Burns are the top Republican vote-getters in the Town of Lewiston, per unofficial Primary Election results from the Niagara County Board of Elections.
In the Town of Lewiston supervisor race, Lilly has 491 votes (52.40%), ahead of incumbent Steve Broderick’s 446 votes (47.60%).
Lilly said, "Thankfully the taxpayers realize that the board is wasting too much money. Hopefully the voters will support me in November, then I can begin to defend them."
In the Town of Lewiston clerk/tax collector race, Tamara Burns (525 votes, 55.56%) is ahead of Amy Smith (420, 44.44%), who was appointed following Donna Garfinkel’s retirement.
In the Town of Niagara town justice race, Josephine Brevetti-Runkle leads in both the GOP and Conservative ballots (44 votes, 70.97% // 7 votes, 58.33%), ahead of Dean Scirri (18 votes, 29.03% // 5 votes, 41.67%).
The Board of Elections website noted early votes as fully reported, with absentee/early vote by mail partially reported. It also pegged voter turnout at a paltry 2.82%.
