The family and friends of Jeanette Collesano are pleased to announce the winner of the second annual Jeanette L. Collesano Memorial Scholarship. Congratulations to Jack Scully, Lewiston Porter Class of 2025 graduate, who will be studying aerospace engineering.
For the final 26 years of her career, Jeanette served as the director of the Town of Lewiston Senior Center, where she organized events, managed the center’s operations, and wholeheartedly dedicated herself to the seniors she worked with daily. Additionally, she served as a longtime volunteer with the Lewiston Kiwanis and co-chaired the annual Peach Queen Pageant. She touched the hearts of everyone involved in the pageant and was a role model for many.
Jeanette’s family and friends wanted to honor her by awarding an annual $1,000 scholarship to a student who demonstrates the same passion and commitment to their community. The 2025 winner has also shown a deep sense of responsibility to our community’s youth and elderly and a devotion to service.
