Lewiston Presbyterian Church to host special jazz service

The First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston will salute the 2025 Northwest Jazz Festival by hosting a special jazz service at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 24. The event is open to the public.

The “Joy of Music” family-friendly service will include spiritual readings and music by the Bob Hull Quartet and a children’s sermon.

Hull is music director for First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston and is a well-known Western New York pianist and organist. He is a member of the Church Musicians Guild of Buffalo and active member of the Chromatic Club of Buffalo, the American Guild of Organists and the Buffalo Choral Arts Society. He also performs regularly as a jazz musician in the Buffalo area and volunteers his time as organist at the Historic Riviera Theater in North Tonawanda.

The church is located at 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston. It is handicapped accessible. Parking is available on the street or in a large lot behind the building. The church and events are open to all.
