This past summer, members of Scouting America Troop 829 in Youngstown hit the high adventure trails again.

Scoutmaster Aaron Swanson reports the voyaging Scouts and Scouters trekked up north to take on the Canadian wilderness of Algonquin. There, troop members enjoyed days of crystal-clear lakes, thick green forests, the fire skies at sunset, and all the many sights to see in this pristine region.

“Neither rain nor sun, water nor dusty trail will stop Troop 829 out of Youngstown from seeking and, yes, I dare say seeing, all the natural world has to offer,” Swanson said.

Sponsored by the Youngstown Lions Club, Troop 829 boy, girl and Venture members meet at 7 p.m. every Tuesday in the basement of St. Bernard worship site, 218 Hinman St.
