Both Dollar General stores located on Grand Island have joined the Neighbors Foundation in its monthlong “Fill the Barrel” food drive this September.
Islanders can drop off nonperishable food items at nine collection sites: either Dollar General stores, Mallwitz’s Island Lanes, Walgreens, Grand Island Memorial Library, Island Ship Center, Trilogy (The MOG), Thompson’s Farm Market, and Pickleball Island.
Our pantry is very low at this time. Every contribution makes a difference in helping our neighbors put food on the table.
Along with food donations, the Neighbors Foundation is seeking corporate sponsors to provide vital financial support to keep pantry shelves stocked and meet the growing demand. For corporate sponsorship opportunities, call 716-773-5714.
For food assistance, call 716-775-7998.
