The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas announced its annual Veterans Day concert, a musical tribute to the men and women who have served our nation with honor and courage, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Cardinal O’Hara Performing Arts Center, 39 O’Hara Road, Tonawanda.
This year’s program features a blend of patriotic classics, historical reflections, and spirited marches performed by a premier Western New York concert band. Under the direction of Matthew Cool, the 80-member ensemble – 2024 American Legion Concert Band National Champion – will deliver a symphonic pops program in the grand tradition of John Philip Sousa.
Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door, and just $5 for veterans. Purchase at Walker Bros. & Monroe Jewelers, 84 Webster St., North Tonawanda; Mid-City Opticians, 968 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda; or Tonawanda Senior Center, 35 Main St., Tonawanda.

Founded in 1929, the American Legion Band of the Tonawandas has a proud legacy of musical excellence and community service, performing up to 30 concerts and parades annually. The band remains dedicated to upholding the great traditions of the American Legion and enriching the cultural life of Western New York.
