The Friends of the Lewiston Library’s annual friendly gathering will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 305 S. Eighth St. This event is open to the public, and all are welcome to come and celebrate the support and gifts the Friends were able to obtain for the Lewiston Library. The volunteer organization provides support through a variety of fundraisers, including a book-sale room and various raffles.
This year’s gathering will feature catered appetizers, champagne, wine and desserts. It is always one of the most popular and well-attended events of the year.
In addition, Jeff Manning will receive the Volunteer of the Year award. He has dedicated hundreds of hours to the library working on the obituary database.
