Lewiston Police blotter for March 13, 2026

The following activity occurred Monday, Feb. 16, to Sunday, Feb. 22, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD responded to 256 calls during this period. For more information on arrests and other activity, visit the Lewiston Police Department’s mobile app or its page on Facebook.

Monday, Feb. 16

•4600 block of Creek Road, harassment – Caller reported a male keeps harassing her via social media. Report only. Patrol said the caller is also receiving messages via messenger. Suspect blocked and contact made by LPD to the suspect’s jurisdiction to advise them of the situation. Report taken.

•800 block of Cayuga Street, traffic complaint/investigation – 911 caller reported a couple drinking alcohol with children inside the vehicle. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Five drivers cited with six uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Reports taken. Six warnings issued. Report taken.

Tuesday, Feb. 17

•3300 block of Creek Road, overdose – 911 call; officers responded.

•900 block of Orchard Drive, lost/found property – Caller reported finding a handgun while cleaning out a deceased family member’s house. Firearm turned over to patrol and property receipt issued.

•1600 block of Ridge Road, forgery – Caller reported fraud; report only. Caller told officers her mother provided a Social Security number to potential scammers. No suspicious activity or purchases reported at this time. Report taken.

•2500 block of Upper Mountain Road, check welfare – 911 caller reported one adult and a child out on the ice near visible cracks at Bonds Lake Park. Officers responded. U.S. Coast Guard personnel conducting training; all 10-4.

•600 block of Walker Drive, harassment – Walk-in complaint for harassment report. LPD officers responded.

•Saunders Settlement/Chew roads, vehicle/traffic stop – Officer initiated. Driver cited for refusal of a breath screening test and operating a vehicle after having consumed alcohol-under age 21. Uniform traffic and appearance tickets issued for town court.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Four drivers cited with seven uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Reports taken. Three warnings issued.

Wednesday, Feb. 18

•5300 block of Military Road, hospital, disturbance not domestic – Officer initiated. Caller reported a disturbance, unknown cause. Patrol responded.

•Upper Mountain/Military roads, check welfare – 911 caller reported a male with a medical mask and wearing dark clothing in the roadway. Patrol responded.

•5400 block of Elm Drive, check welfare – 911 caller said a male knocking at the door requesting EMS; subject stumbling and carrying a bag in the driveway. Officers responded.

•700 block of David Drive, theft – Officer initiated. Caller reported the theft of a garden planter. Officer checked area; no signs of any activity or said planter.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Six drivers cited with eight uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Reports taken. Four warnings issued.

Thursday, Feb. 19

•800 block of Cayuga Street, traffic complaint/investigation – Caller reported the roadway was icing over, patrol notified Highway Department.

•5900 block of Ward Road, shots fired – 911 caller (refused identity) reported three males target shooting close to a dwelling. Patrol checked area with negative results.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Eight drivers cited with 10 uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Report taken. One warning issued.

Friday, Feb. 20

•100 block of S. Eighth Street, accident hit-run – Officer initiated. Caller reported a delivery vehicle struck overnight. Statement taken from station manager. Suspect vehicle listed as an online retail delivery truck that had access to property. No photo/video available. Report taken.

•400 block of Ridge Street, check welfare – Per dispatch activity, patrol stopped for a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. Contact made with a male who said he was waiting for a ride home. Driver arrived. Patrol advised the male was intoxicated, had left an event earlier and was just waiting for a ride. Nothing suspicious in nature found.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Four drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Reports taken. Eight warnings issued.

Saturday, Feb. 21

•200 block of Lake Road, warrant service – Per dispatch activity, patrol on location attempting to serve a warrant. LPD returned to the address later in the day for an agency assist to serve said warrant. No further information.

•1300 block of Saunders Settlement Road, traffic complaint/investigation – 911 caller reported a vehicle in the parking lot across the street doing doughnuts for the past 15 minutes in the early morning hours. Patrol cited the driver for unlicensed operator and violating additional restrictions on certain learners’ permits and drivers’ licenses. Uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Patrol said a valid driver took control of the vehicle and went home.

•2800 block of Saunders Settlement Road, harassment – 911 complaint. Officers responded and report taken.

•University Drive, college, assist – 911 call from campus safety reported a smoke detector activation. Patrol and fire responders on scene; no smoke of fire reported. Cause blamed on burnt cookie.

•900 block of Mohawk Street, suspicious activity – 911 caller reported an unknown party looking into the caller’s glass door and hearing noises. Limited description given. Officers checked area with negative results. Caller advised to contact LPD if subject returns.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Three drivers cited with four uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Reports taken. Four warnings issued.

Sunday, Feb. 22

•Ridge/Cliff roads, suspicious activity – Officer initiated. Patrol stopped after a juvenile threw a rock at a LPD vehicle and attempted to flee. Officers detained three males. Subjects returned home and their parents/guardians were advised. Charges pending. Report taken.

•5300 block of Military Road, hospital, disturbance, not domestic – Caller reported a patient refusing to leave after being discharged. Officers provided a courtesy ride.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Two drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. One warning issued.
