Erie County Fair press release
The Erie County Fair is gearing up for another action-packed summer with the announcement of its 2026 motor event series lineup at the Buffalo News Grandstand at the event running Aug. 12-23 in Hamburg. The annual motor event weekend will once again feature fan-favorite events including monster trucks, demolition competition, and the traditional closing day demolition derby.
The 2026 Buffalo News Grandstand motor event series includes:
•“Monster Truck Smash,” 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21: Sponsored by Niagara Metals. Feel the ground shake as massive monster trucks take over the grandstand for a night of high-flying action, freestyle excitement, and family-friendly thrills.
•“Ultimate Night of Destruction,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22: A fan-favorite night packed with outrageous stunts, crashing cars, and edge-of-your-seat excitement as drivers compete in a variety of wild and destructive events.
•Demolition derby, 1 and 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23: The Erie County Fair closes out with one of Western New York’s most beloved traditions as drivers battle it out in two action-filled demolition derby sessions.
All motor events are ticketed grandstand events. Erie County Fair grandstand ticket sales begin with the Erie County Agricultural Society membership presale Thursday, June 4, followed by the public on-sale beginning Friday, June 5, at www.ECFair.org. Pricing and seating information for each event will be available online.
