New route for YMCA Turkey Trot

YMCA Buffalo Niagara is excited to announce a new loop course for the 131st YMCA Turkey Trot. This year’s Thanksgiving race introduces a circuit route, starting and ending at the Buffalo Convention Center. While the course is new, the race maintains its historic identity by keeping the original route's second half down Delaware Avenue to the finish and remains a full 8-kilometer (4.97 mile) course.

The new course offers easier access to day-of packet pick-up, indoor warm spaces, and restrooms at the Buffalo Convention Center. Spectators will also enjoy a better viewing experience, with the ability to see runners without traveling between separate start and finish lines.

The YMCA Turkey Trot began in 1896, and is now YMCA Buffalo Niagara’s largest fundraising event – helping connect Western New York families in need with YMCA services they otherwise could not afford. Today, over 14,000 runners from across the globe converge for this event, celebrating a spirit of competition, fellowship and fun.
