St. Martin-in-the-Fields, 2587 Baseline Road, will offer food and fun for people of all ages at its annual chicken barbecue, scheduled for 3-6:30 p.m. July 12.

Several options are being offered, event chair Mark Korzelius said, including “Eat there, drive-thru, etc. Yes, we offer both dine-in under our huge pavilion; and quick service through our drive-thru takeout right in front of the church.”

The pavilion, Korzelius said, was built in 2023, and “It can accommodate 100 seated guests.

“The silent auction and the basket raffle will also be available under the pavilion, safe from inclement weather. There will be over 100 super-cool baskets available for winning. We are also providing a premium silent auction for bidding.”

Other activities at the chicken barbecue will include face painting and balloon animals.

Tickets for the chicken barbecue cost $15 and can be purchased at the event. Free meals will be available for veterans. If people wish to sponsor a veterans’ meal, they are welcome to do so.

When asked what the most fun part of the chicken barbecue, Korzelius said, “Great food with great people! Something for everyone, including the kids with balloon animals and face painting, not to mention one of the biggest basket raffles and silent auctions in the area.”
