The tiny burst of rain just before the downbeat for Saturday night's Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra performance did not phase Lewiston concertgoers! Umbrellas popped up for the short shower, the clouds parted, and then the music rang out from the Alphonso I. DiMino Memorial Band Shell!
This concert of our very own world-class, Grammy-winning orchestra was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Anthony DiMino, of DiMino Lewiston Tops. The audience also enjoyed a performance of the "Toreador" from “Carmen,” sung by baritone Dominick Townsend, a graduate of Lewiston-Porter.
The Lewiston Council on the Arts is grateful to Mr. DiMino for this opportunity to have our community from Western New York and Southern Ontario come together to hear live classical music.
Bravi tutti!
