Two Lewiston-Porter High School senior students were each presented with a $1,000 scholarship by the Lewiston Service Guild earlier this year. The scholarship recipients are Dominic Tracy of Youngstown, who is pursuing a degree in biochemistry at the University of Florida; and Rayhaan Shaikh of Lewiston, who is majoring in biology on the pre-med track at Niagara University.

The scholarship recipients were chosen based on their outstanding grade-point averages, community service, and letters of recommendation.

The Lewiston Service Guild was established in 1938 to support community programs and foster social connections. The organization's fundraising efforts have financially supported various local charities.
