The Youngstown Presbyterian Church concert series begins this year's season with a performance of jazz and blues music performed by the Laura Howse and Jenny May Duo, playing electric guitar and electric bass, respectively.
The performance starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at 100 Church St. As with all events in the YPC concert series, there is no admission fee – but a free-will offering will be taken.
Laura Howse and Jenny May Duo recently played a successful concert at the International Peace Garden in Lewiston during the Northwest Jazz Festival in August. Both musicians are also members of the Ladies First Jazz all-woman “Big Band,” based in Buffalo.
