Women United of Greater Niagara proudly announces the success of “Essentials: The Hygiene Project,” held in November to benefit Niagara Gospel Mission and Mount St. Mary’s Neighborhood Health Center.
Thanks to the generosity of local residents, businesses and organizations, hundreds of personal care items were collected – including feminine hygiene products, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and laundry detergent.
Collection sites included United Way of Greater Niagara, Confetti Cottage, Lewiston Antiques & Estates, ChrisFit, Oakwood Cemetery, Levesque Institute/Niagara University Marian House, and Deal Realty. Additional contributions came from BankOnBuffalo, The Down Syndrome Association of Niagara, NYSUT Retiree Coalition WNY, Lewiston Community Lions Club, and St. Francis Guild of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.
“These donations will make a meaningful impact for individuals and families in our community, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this drive,” said Joanne Beaton, President of Women United.
