Monday, Jan. 19
•1800 block of Ridge Road, traffic complaint/investigation – Officer initiated. Vehicle issued a ticket by LPD for violating the overnight parking ban.
•2500 block of Saunders Settlement Road, MVA-property damage – 911 caller reported a farm tractor overturned in a ditch. Patrol responded; farmer had help on the way. No further assistance needed.
•500 block of Sandlewood Drive, check welfare – Caller reported a female walking in the area; subject appears confused. Officers located female, and courtesy ride provided.
•Village/town locations, reports of assist public, disabled vehicles, vehicles in ditches, MVA-property damage and traffic complaint/investigation calls – LPD officers responded to a number of weather-related requests for assistance. All calls handled.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Six drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Reports taken. Six warnings issued.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
•Village/town locations, reports of assist public, disabled vehicles, vehicles in ditches, MVA-property damage and traffic complaint/investigation calls – LPD officers responded to a number of weather-related assistance requests. All calls handled.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Four drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Three warnings issued.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
4800 block of W. Eddy Drive, suspicious activity – 911 caller reported an unknown male attempted to enter her vehicle that was occupied. Patrol checked area with negative results.
•5300 block of Bridgeman Road, forgery – Caller reported being a victim of check washing. Report only. Patrol responded.
•700 block of Tuscarora Street, theft – Caller reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle. Patrol responded and report taken.
•5200 block of Lewiston Road, check welfare – 911 caller reported an elderly male hitchhiking in the area. Officers responded and courtesy ride provided.
•5400 block of Townline Road, assist public – Caller reported an unknown party broke into the property and stole documents. Patrol responded. No signs of forced entry.
•5700 block of Lewiston Road, check welfare – Caller reported a male outside wearing shorts and a hoodie; subject not dressed for weather. Officers said the male appeared 10-4 and declined assistance.
•800 block of Ridge Road, domestic disturbance – 911 complaint. Officers responded.

Thursday, Jan. 22
•Meadowbrook/Fairway drives, check welfare – 911 caller said a male attempted to strike him with his vehicle while caller was out walking. Officers reported an argument ensued between both individuals. Caller said he was unfamiliar with the male, the driver was speeding, and he had a “very intense expression of his face.” Caller did not want that type of behavior in his neighborhood. Complaint handled by officers.
•Village/town locations, reports of assist public, disabled vehicles, vehicles in ditches, MVA-property damage, and traffic complaint/investigation calls – LPD officers responded to a number of weather-related requests for assistance. All calls handled.
•5000 block of Callan Drive, fire – 911 caller reported a trashcan on fire in the bedroom. Patrol and fire company responded.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Six drivers cited with nine uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Eight warnings issued.
Friday, Jan. 23
•4200 block of Creek Road, suspicious activity – Officer initiated. Patrol stopped for a vehicle at a new build property. Owner on location to check on a generator and sump pump. Both units were operational.
•4400 block of Porter Center Road, motor vehicle theft – Called said a family member was loaned a vehicle more than a month ago and has not returned it. Officers said the subject took possession of said vehicle in Niagara Falls. Caller advised to contact the Niagara Falls Police Department to file a complaint.
•Center/N. Ninth streets, traffic complaint/investigation – Caller reported a red gas container was open and spilling onto the roadway. Patrol responded. Area checked for container with negative results.
4500 block of Creek Road, domestic disturbance – 911 complaint. Officers responded and report taken.
•Cayuga/S. Eighth streets, assist public – Officer initiated. Caller reported a vehicle in a ditch. Officers responded. Driver cited for driving while ability impaired by alcohol and driving while intoxicated. Appearance and uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed. Report taken.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Two drivers cited with three uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Reports filed. One warning issued.
Saturday, Jan. 24
•700 block of Ridge Road, custody problem – Caller reported an unwanted party and subject banging on door. Officers responded. Subject left and caller advised to file paperwork for family court. Report taken.
•400 block of Center Street, traffic complaint/investigation – Officer initiated. Vehicle issued a village parking ticket for blocking a crosswalk.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Three drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Three warnings issued.
Sunday, Jan. 25
•900 block of Onondaga Street, domestic disturbance – 911 complaint. Officers responded and report taken.
•1100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, traffic complaint/investigation – 911 caller reported a gray Chevy Equinox heading westbound, driver possibly intoxicated. Patrols checked area with negative results.
•4600 block of Townline Road, assist public – Officer initiated. Patrol said a driver failed to yield and the vehicle ended up in a ditch. Driver cited for speed in zone and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Driver arranged for tow.
•400 block of Aberdeen Road, animal complaint – 911 caller reported a dog was howling for the past 20 minutes. Officers responded.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Three drivers cited with five uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Zero warnings issued.
