Press Release
Coalition of Agencies in Service to the Elderly (C.A.S.E.) will hold a Niagara County resource day highlighting services available to older adults in Niagara County. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with over 30 local organizations offering information on senior living, health care, financial planning, memory care, home support and more.
The free event will be held Wednesday, March 4, at Gratwick Hose Co., 110 Ward Road, North Tonawanda. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., allowing time to visit the organizations, participate in the basket raffle and mingle. Guest speaker Mary Brennan-Taylor, vice president for the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier, will present “Saving Alice: A Primer on Geriatric Patient Safety” at 2 p.m. Winners of the basket auction will be drawn at 2:50 p.m.
“We are excited to bring these organizations together to highlight all that Niagara County has to offer for seniors,” said Courtney Sipes, director of community engagement for the Alzheimer’s Association WNY chapter, co-chair of the event. "Attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with organizations and learn the many resources available to them.”
“C.A.S.E. has over 50 member organizations and two thirds of them will be represented at this resource day,” noted Christine S. O’Hara, M.S., executive director of HART, and chairperson of C.A.S.E. Niagara. “So many of us do not know the abundance of resources available for seniors, or where to find them when we need them, so this is a way to gather this information.”
The event is open to the public. For more information, contact Sipes at CLSipes@alz.org or 716-271-9255.
