Get ready to step back in time as the Buffalo Zoo unveils “Destination Dinosaur,” a limited-time, immersive exhibit that transports guests to a prehistoric world.

“Destination Dinosaur” at the Buffalo Zoo, running from May 2 through Oct. 31, takes visitors on a journey alongside some of the largest creatures to ever walk the Earth. This dynamic, family-friendly experience blends entertainment and education, bringing the age of dinosaurs vividly to life.

“We’re thrilled to be able to share this unforgettable, prehistoric journey with our community,” Buffalo Zoo President and CEO Lisa Smith said. “Walking the ‘Destination Dinosaur’ trail offers an up-close and personal encounter with giant creatures that roamed the Earth more than 100 million years ago. It's an experience designed to spark curiosity, inspire the imagination, and create lasting memories for guests of all ages.”

Walk the “Destination Dinosaur” trail to experience massive, moving dinosaurs like the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex, the powerful Triceratops, the fierce Giganotosaurus and more than a dozen other life-size animatronic dinosaurs. These massive creatures move, roar, and appear throughout the landscape – soaring overhead, hidden in the foliage and grazing along the path.

Within the trail, visitors can dig into hands-on fun with a fossil excavation pit, capture memories at themed photo stations, and enjoy dinosaur-themed presentations at the Zoo’s “Center Stage.”

The “Destination Dinosaur” trail is free for members and with standard general admission.

The Buffalo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with last admission at 4 p.m. General admission tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.buffalozoo.org, or in-person at the front entrance gate.
