1st District Niagara County Legislator Irene Myers recently visited with a number of local groups at Porter Town Hall, where she hand-delivered 2026 county assistance funding to representatives of these organizations.
“I appreciate all that you do for this community, each and every one of you,” Myers said.
“You are the driving forces of this community; you are the ones making things beautiful and making things nice. This community couldn’t thrive without you. Thanks for all you do – each and every one of you.
“This is a little token of what we have; I have a little bit of money and I have happy to share!”
Recipients included Scouting America, representing area Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops; members of the Ransomville and Youngstown garden clubs; officials of the Ransomville and Youngstown Free libraries; representatives of the business and professional associations from Ransomville and Youngstown; plus, recreation groups and church organizations.
