Five generations of a Niagara Falls family recently came together at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center to celebrate the arrival of Juliet Rose Clougherty.

Juliet was born July 29, in Memorial’s labor and delivery unit, to Sarah Marrone Clougherty. Juliet’s 107-year-old great-great-grandmother, Helen Oleniczak, resides in the same building at Schoellkopf Health Center.

The unique connection made Juliet’s birth especially meaningful: She entered the world in the same building her great-great-grandmother calls home.

Oleniczak, a Niagara Falls native, met Juliet for the first time during a family gathering that highlighted Memorial’s role in caring for the Niagara community at every stage of life.

“This is a beautiful example of the full continuum of care Memorial provides,” said Marisa Prokop, administrator of Schoellkopf Health Center. “Under one roof, we have the privilege of welcoming new life and caring for longtime members of our community.”

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center provides personalized, family-centered maternity care through its labor and delivery unit. Schoellkopf Health Center offers skilled nursing, rehabilitation and long-term residential care within Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
