Academy Park saw large, Peach Festival-type crowds last weekend, as it hosted a trio of events.
Steven Page Trio
On Friday, former Barenaked Ladies singer Steven Page headlined a concert at the Alphonso I. DiMino Memorial Band Shell. A free show, some fans opted to listen from inside the new pavilion adjacent to the stage.
Promoter Ray Barry is starting a Wednesday night concert series in the park later this summer. (See related.)

Lewiston Artisan Farmers Market
The next morning, the Lewiston Artisan Farmers Market kicked off week No. 2 of its season with considerably warmer weather than its debut. Fresh produce, made-to-order foods and other local, handmade goods are available for purchase from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday.

'Worship in the Park'
Later that day, Lewiston Assembly of God hosted “Worship in the Park,” featuring Brothers McClurg, the congregation’s own worship team, a “carnival tent” for children, and messages from Pastor Geordie Davey and Village Bake Shoppe owner Michael Fiore.
