Becker Farms and Vizcarra Vineyards will hold their annual concord grape stomp at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14. The cost to participate for a team of six is $180 ($30 per person). For individuals or smaller teams, the cost is $35 per person.

On Friday, Gov. Kathy Hochul, with the New York State Department of Conservation, announced a drought watch has been issued for 20 New York counties. The action was taken after consulting with the state drought management task force and federal partner agencies.

The Presbytery of Western New York Presbyterian Church (USA) has announced the ordination of Carolyn "Carly" Beard to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament. The formal ordination service will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Old Stone Church at First Presbyterian Church, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston. A fellowship celebration will follow at the church.
