The Rotary Club of Niagara County Central and the Wheatfield Lions Club will present the first "Market in the Country," from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 8. The free-admission event will occur at the Wheatfield Lions Club's Five Senses Park, 6535 Ward Road.

More than 500 fire departments across New York have already signed up for the ninth annual RecruitNY Weekend (April 27-28). RecruitNY is a cornerstone campaign of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York (FASNY), with the goal of increasing membership in the state's volunteer fire service.
