Diesel technology program visits ethanol plant

The Diesel Technology students in Wes Blidy's class recently toured the Western New York Energy facility in Medina. The facility is the first ethanol plant in the northeast United States. They are a locally owned company with a mission of developing the full potential of Western New York's renewable energy resources.
Intermediate school starts new technology program

This is the first year that technology teacher Jennifer Rhoads has taught at North Tonawanda, and so far she and her students are having a great time. Not only are they getting to problem-solve with ozobots and drones, it is helping them to bring real world problem-solving challenges to life with engineering solutions.  They also learn about collaboration while encouraging them to be creative.

Wheatfield Lions Mike and Joyce Aiken assisted the Olcott Lion's Club (site of the famous annual Polar Bear Swim) in their annual dice run. As a result of their participation, the Wheatfield Lions Club received a portion of the proceeds to be used to alleviate hunger in Niagara County.
Falcons hockey looking to get back on top after historic season

The 2017-18 Niagara-Wheatfield hockey season can really be summed up in one word - historic. The Falcons finished the season 19-3-3-1, won the program's sixth Section VI title, and reached the team's first-ever state title game. Coming into the 2018-19 season, the team has some holes to fill after losing key scorers such as Nick Peters, Chace Woods, Michael Lotempio, Chris Tobey and Dom Pulli, as well as top defensemen Zack Belter and Nick Breier.

N-W boys basketball fresh for 2018-19

Last season, the Niagara-Wheatfield boys basketball team struggled after a 3-0 start to the season. Throw in the fact the team lost six seniors, including team captains Anthony Ruffino, who was the team's leading scorer, and Ben DeVantier, it made some people question how successful the 2018-19 season will turn out.
Carlson finishes strong swim season

The Niagara-Wheatfield girls swimming and diving team has been on top of the Niagara Frontier League for four straight years. In that string of success, a fair share of swimmers have left their mark on Falcons swimming and diving. One of those girls is junior Danielle Carlson.
