The event not only honored the service of the Canadian St. Davids and USA/WNY Lions, it honored other groups including Rotary, Kiwanis, local business association, and more.

Niagara-Wheatfield girls volleyball coach Brandi Cochran experienced a whirlwind of a season last year. She raised her first sole Niagara Frontier League title, and then ventured off to the Section VI Class A championship for the first time in program history, where they were eventually defeated. Nevertheless, Cochran knows, even though last season was good, 2018 could be better.

Rob Ortt presented $40,000 in education funds to five local museums from across Niagara County for improvements in educational programs currently offered, as well as the addition of new educational resources. There was a lot of anticipation for the start of the Niagara-Wheatfield Lady Falcons volleyball season. The team is coming off one of the best season's in program history, going 19-2, winning the Niagara Frontier League title, and reaching the Section VI Class A finals. Although the roster may look a little different this season, the Lady Falcons didn't miss a beat in their league opener versus Lockport.
