Champions: Nitro win West Seneca softball tourney

On July 1, the Wheatfield Nitro 16-and-under softball team defeated the WNY Sting to win the West Seneca Magic tournament. The team recorded a 7-1 record throughout the tournament, which included 16 different teams.

U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy Jr. announced Monday that Glen Stacharczyck, 53, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty to RICO conspiracy, before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
